AstaIO is an all-new n-Tier product, redesigned from the ground up. Built on the ASTA tradition, it can be used with Delphi V5,V6,V7 Professional or Kylix Desktop. SOAP support is included in AstaIO 1.5 for servers and clients. AstaIO includes the high performance AstaIO cross platform Native Sockets for tcp/ip and http support along with a UDP transport especially designed for wireless applications and unreliable networks.

Clients and Servers can be mixed and matched. Java servers and clients are available as well as a thin client ODBC driver and type 3 JDBC Driver and handheld clients. AstaIO is a cross platorm application framework that allows you to support Palm and WinCE Clients today.

AstaIO supports the IProvider Interface so MIDAS/DataSnap developers will be able to code AstaIO servers with techniques they are accustomed to with AstaIODataSetProviders and AstaIOClientDataSets.
